Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is used to prepare a site for dental implants that replace a missing tooth or teeth. In areas where teeth are missing, bone naturally shrinks over time, both in height and width. New bone grafts create a secure site for the implants and contribute to the best aesthetically-pleasing implant. Bone grafting can also help save existing teeth that are compromised from gum disease.
Bone loss is caused by:
- The loss of a tooth
- Localized infection
- Gum disease
- Trauma
