Dental Implant Services
Dental implants are replacements for natural teeth. When tooth loss happens due to gum disease or decay, Dr. Joseph is able to replace them in many ways. One of those ways is to use Dental implants. Some times patients visit our office specifically asking for dental implants to replace a missing tooth. There is a perception that dental implants are complicated procedures with questionable outcomes. But when an experienced Dentist or surgeon, such as Dr. Joseph performs the procedure, Implants are generally routine procedures with very predictable outcomes. The major advantages to dental implants is that they avoid the unnecessary drilling of adjacent teeth and also help with bone preservation (bone which will otherwise be lost when the natural tooth is lost).
Dental Implant Services: Your Tooth Replacement Solution
Dental implants act as replacement tooth roots to permanently fill gaps left by missing teeth. A small titanium screw is surgically embedded into the jawbone, where it fuses securely in place through osseointegration. This provides a stable foundation to hold a customized crown, bridge, or full arch of false teeth. With their realistic look and feel, dental implants are the closest solution to healthy natural teeth.
At London Dental House, Dr. Joseph crafts customized treatment plans and performs implant placement and restorations. He will determine if you are a candidate through digital imaging, testing, and assessment of your teeth, gums, and jawbone density. If bone grafting is required prior to placement, this can widen your options for supporting solid, lasting implants.
The Many Benefits of Dental Implants
Dental implants offer significant functional and aesthetic advantages over traditional tooth replacements like bridges, partials, and dentures:
- Prevent bone loss and changes to facial structure
- Do not decay like natural tooth roots
- Restore full chewing and biting function
- Maintain the health of neighbouring teeth
- Eliminate the need for removable prosthetics
- Stay firmly fixed in place when eating and speaking
- Preserve natural spacing between teeth
- Look and feel just like your real teeth
With their durability, performance, and realistic appearance, dental implants are the premier solution for restoring your smile.
Parts of a Dental Implant
Dental implants are composed of a metal screw (placed into bone and made of titanium), a connector or abutment that sits on the implant and projects into the mouth and can be seen by the patient and finally a crown that is screwed onto the connector. The crown will be fashioned to look very natural and will be hard to distinguish from natural teeth, even in the front of the mouth.
Minimally Invasive Dental Implant Surgery
The dental implant placement procedure is performed using advanced techniques to ensure comfort and optimal results. Precise 3D imaging scans are taken prior to surgery to guide careful positioning of the implants. During the procedure, local anesthesia is administered to keep you comfortable at all times. A small, minimally invasive incision is made into the gums, just large enough to expose the underlying jawbone for implant access. Surgical guides are then used to direct the perfect angle and depth for placement of the titanium implant into the jawbone, secured in place like a screw. Once positioned properly, the gums are sutured closed over the top of the implant site.
With Dr. Joseph’s extensive surgical training and experience placing hundreds of dental implants, the procedure is smooth and precisely controlled from start to finish. His meticulous technique makes implant surgery a quick, minimally invasive process allowing you to heal rapidly.
Recovering After Your Implant Surgery
In the final stage of treatment, your custom implant restorations are meticulously designed and crafted to seamlessly replace your missing teeth. Once the implant is fully integrated with the bone through osseointegration, precision impressions are taken of your mouth. Using advanced CAD/CAM digital technology, the crowns and bridges are then designed in minute detail based on the impressions. Skilled technicians will fabricate beautiful, biocompatible crowns and bridges from biocompatible materials to exact specifications.
The custom implant restoration is then securely attached to your implants for a natural, cohesive fit. Your new crowns and bridges will blend in flawlessly, revitalizing your smile with a complete set of replacement teeth. With the proper care, your implant restorations have the longevity to provide functional beauty to your smile for decades, thanks to their secure integration and natural aesthetics. You can comfortably eat, smile, laugh, and speak with confidence again.
Beautiful, Permanent Implant Crowns and Bridges
In the final stage of treatment, your custom implant restorations are designed to flawlessly replace your missing teeth. After osseointegration is complete, dental impressions are taken. Using CAD/CAM technology, crowns and bridges are digitally designed. Meticulous crafting results in beautiful, biocompatible restorations.
The custom crowns or bridge is then securely attached to your implants. Your restoration blends seamlessly, giving you a complete, revitalized smile. With their natural aesthetics and longevity, you can enjoy your implant teeth for decades to come, thanks to their secure fit.

Dental Implant Procedure
Dental Implant procedures actually start with the removal of a tooth. And then are followed by the following steps.
- Removal of tooth with Bone grafting to preserve as much bone as possible.
- Healing for about 3 to 4 months based on the circumstance.
- Minor surgery to place the implant screw into the bone.
- Healing time of about 3 to 4 months
- Impressions
- 2 weeks after impressions –crown delivery.
The whole process may take up to 6 months to a year based on the particular situation. In many cases the time line may be much shorter, again based on the particular situation.
How difficult is the surgery and will it hurt?
Surgery for implant placement and subsequent impressions is considered a minor surgical procedure. Dr. Joseph will discuss all of your options and in many cases may provide mild sedation to help to go through the procedure smoothly. The procedure involves freezing after which you will not feel any pain during the procedure and only mild discomfort after the procedure for a few days. Dr. Joseph makes himself available 24/7 for calls regarding concerns that the patient may experience during the healing phase. Generally Post Operative complications following implant procedures are mild to non existent.
Having a valuable and dependable resource Such as Dr. Joseph to call at any time during the day or night as opposed to waiting for the office to open in the morning, will ensure a complete and satisfying experience for our patients.
