Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is used to prepare a site for dental implants that replace a missing tooth or teeth. In areas where teeth are missing, bone naturally shrinks over time, both in height and width. New bone grafts create a secure site for the implants and contribute to the most aesthetically pleasing implant results. Bone grafting can also help save existing teeth that are compromised from gum disease.
Bone loss is caused by:
- The loss of a tooth
- Localized infection
- Gum disease
- Trauma
